Shaping the Future Together: Innovative Approaches for Teams and Leaders
Experiential Learning and Proven Methods - For Teams Who Strive to Grow.
Our tailored programs combine experiential learning with horses and proven methods. They focus on topics such as resilient leadership, psychological safety, boundaries and closeness, self-leadership, empathy, and communication.
Horses authentically reflect leadership behavior and team dynamics, encourage self-reflection, and create space for sustainable development. Experience firsthand how this unique combination strengthens teams, builds trust, and paves the way for empathetic and successful collaboration.
Use Case Boundary Management:
Creating Closeness, Maintaining Distance

Leadership is the art of striking the right balance between closeness and distance to foster trustful collaboration while providing space for autonomy and growth.
Our programs integrate the principles of Boundary Management (as defined by Henry Cloud) with experiential learning with horses. This unique combination helps leaders develop clarity and authenticity in their leadership style.
  • Creating Closeness: Foster trust and collaboration to strengthen teams.
  • Maintaining Distance: Set healthy boundaries to enable autonomy and accountability.
Horses are highly sensitive to clarity, authenticity, and body language. They provide immediate feedback on how leaders balance closeness and distance. These experiences offer deep insights into personal impact and practical approaches for everyday leadership.
Boundary Management incorporates key aspects such as psychological safety, adaptive leadership, and self-leadership. Leaders learn how to establish clearly defined yet flexible boundaries to create a productive and trust-filled team culture.

New Paths, Clear Vision: The
Department of Ventilation and Electromechanics ILF Switzerland Turns to Horse-Assisted Team Building as the Foundation for Strategy Development 2030
At the Swiss branch of ILF Consulting Engineers AG, the Ventilation & Electromechanical department faced the challenge of developing a new vision and strategy. With the successful implementation of previous strategic goals behind them, it was time to forge new paths.
We had the privilege of accompanying the team in crafting a clear vision and strategy for 2030, building on enhanced team dynamics and clearly defined roles.
To achieve this, we designed and implemented a bespoke event in Maur, near Zurich, with the following objectives:
Improving Team Dynamics
Through interactions with horses on the ground, the team was able to identify personal strengths and reflect on their team skills, fostering stronger collaboration.
Clear Role Allocation
The scientifically grounded Belbin model helped clarify team roles and optimize synergies for greater efficiency.
Efficient Strategy Development
With a complementarily structured team, the transition from diffuse ideas to a concrete vision and strategy for 2030 was successfully achieved.
The Outcomes of Vision 2030

  • Focus on employee satisfaction and quality
  • Sustainable growth and innovation
  • Diversification and expansion into new areas of expertise

Why ILF Switzerland Trusts Us
The event uniquely combined innovation, teamwork, and strategic thinking, demonstrating the powerful synergy of systemic coaching and horse-assisted experiential learning.

Over the past 10 years, ILF Switzerland has developed into one of the leading engineering firms in the field of ventilation and electromechanics for tunnels and underground facilities. Its core competencies include the overall coordination of operational and safety systems, as well as the design and implementation of ventilation systems, pressure-resistant doors and gates, and lifting equipment in road tunnels, railway tunnels, and underground power plant facilities.
